2. OBJECTIVE AND SUMMARY
Brief Description:
We are seeking dedicated Seasonal Grape Pickers to join our vineyard team. This role involves harvesting grapes during the peak season, ensuring that quality standards are met while working efficiently in a team environment.
Objective:
The objective of this position is to support the vineyard's harvest operations by picking grapes at their optimal ripeness. Successful candidates will help maintain the quality of our produce and contribute to the overall success of the harvest.
3. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs) AND TARGETS
| Sales and Revenue | Contribute to achieving 100% of harvest yield targets. |
| Order Fulfilment | Ensure timely completion of grape picking to meet production schedules. |
| Safety | Maintain a zero-accident record during the harvest season. |
| Product Quality | Achieve a minimum of 95% quality rating for harvested grapes. |
| Staff Performance | Support a team performance rating of 90% or higher. |
4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Strategy
- Assist in identifying optimal picking times based on grape ripeness.
- Collaborate with supervisors to maximize harvest efficiency.
- Provide feedback on grape quality to improve future harvests.
Operational Coordination
- Follow daily picking schedules and instructions from supervisors.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any issues or concerns to the Harvest Supervisor promptly.
Health and Safety
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working in the vineyard.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
- Participate in safety briefings and training sessions.
Quality Control
- Inspect grapes for quality during the picking process.
- Ensure that only ripe grapes are harvested.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the picking area.
Staff Management
- Work collaboratively with fellow pickers to achieve team goals.
- Assist in training new staff on proper picking techniques.
- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork.
